This morning I attended the Community Connex coffee morning at Fairfield Church in Northwood Hills. For residents who may not be aware, Community Connex - formerly Harrow Mencap - is a charity supporting individuals with learning disabilities, autism, mobility issues and additional mental health needs.
There was an enjoyable Q&A session with Community Connex members, supporters, advocates and family members, with plenty of interesting points raised on a wide variety of both local and national issues. The morning certainly provided lots of ideas for me to take back to Westminster, as well as colleagues at our local councils.
I am grateful for the invitation to attend the coffee morning, and I look forward to meeting with the group again in the future.
