There is some positive news for grassroots sports in Ruislip, Northwood and Pinner.
Haydon School in Northwood Hills has been awarded a grant by the Football Foundation to provide a new 3G pitch to support the growth of women and girls’ football locally.
The project will be carried out in partnership with Ruislip Rangers FC, who currently have 23 women and girls’ teams, with the new site allowing the club to add a further 6 teams within 5 years.
There is a clear ambition to grow the women and girls’ game locally and this delivery of a high-quality facility will offer more women and girls the opportunity to get involved in football. This will be hugely beneficial to Ruislip Rangers, Haydon School and the wider community for years to come.
The Football Foundation is a partnership between the Premier League, The FA and Government to support grassroots football in England, making sure that every community has access to a great place to play. Over the past 25 years, they have provided £1.3 million in funding to grassroots football facilities in Ruislip, Northwood and Pinner.
