In January, the NHS launched a public consultation on proposed changes to specialist cancer services at Mount Vernon Cancer Centre (MVCC) that ran until 29 March.
Before it was finalised, a draft report on its findings was available to review to ensure that:
- the consultation activity was described correctly
- their response had been accurately captured
- there were no significant factual errors or things that have been missed out.
The full consultation report is now available, as well as a presentation of the draft report. These can be viewed or downloaded here
Before a final decision is made, ‘commissioners will consider the feedback provided in the report and investigate any alternatives, additional suggestions and mitigations that could improve the proposals for patients.’
In the interim, I will be reading the consultation report to ensure that the views of staff, patients and residents have been properly considered.
