This August I hope that all those who are able to will be taking part in the national ‘Eat out to help out’ scheme announced by the Government. 50% off your food and soft drinks bill (up to £10 off per person) from Monday-Wednesday is possibly a once in a lifetime excuse to celebrate, treat yourself, or enjoy date night at the beginning of the week. If you’ve ever needed an excuse to book a table at a local restaurant you’ve been meaning to try – now is your time to do so.
On these sweltering summer evenings, when the thought of preparing lunch or dinner in a stifling kitchen is too much to think about, why not enjoy the numerous fantastic local cafes, restaurants and pubs which have reopened, many of which are participating in the scheme.
In Ruislip there is Melisi, the Woodman, Arens Bar & Grill at the Six Bells, and Hop and Vine. In Ickenham there is the Coach and Horse, Home Bar, BurgerBey, and Maison Du Soleil. In Eastcote there is the Case is Altered, and in Hatch End there is Coriander and Minori. In Northwood there is also Melisi, and Lomito, and Northwood Hills has Zufa, as does Hatch End. And there are plenty more businesses which you can support with your custom. Many of these businesses are locally owned and they are a key part of our local economy, as are all of the others in the area that I could name.
During August I will continue speaking with residents and businesses at my weekly telephone surgeries, as I will also continue speaking to my parliamentary and ministerial colleagues about the challenges and opportunities facing us all. I encourage you to please make contact at email@example.com if I can ever be of assistance.
