Following the announcement that the number of police front counters in London will be reduced, I wrote to the Deputy Mayor for Policing & Crime, Kaya Comer-Schwartz, to seek reassurance that proposals will be subject to public consultation.
Unfortunately, the response I have received is deeply disappointing. As well as placing the blame anywhere but at City Hall, the letter barely touches on the issue of a comprehensive engagement process. This does not fill me with confidence, nor will it reassure residents who once again face being left out of important local decisions.
I know the Hillingdon and Harrow Conservatives will continue to hold the Mayor to account, and I will continue to support them in doing so. You can read the response below.
