I have been contacted by a number of residents who are concerned by information circulating on social media about the Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner Service at Mount Vernon. I understand this is in relation to proposals to close the service at its current site and relocate to Hillingdon Hospital.
I have only been made aware of this information today, and my office has not received confirmation from the Hillingdon Hospital Trust on any changes.
However, I have this afternoon engaged with staff at Mount Vernon and the Hillingdon Hospitals Trust, who have assured me they will be providing further information in due course.
This is a vital local service that reduces pressure on local A&E departments, and I will continue to engage with the trust and the local health community to ensure that services such as this remain accessible to residents.
