Matt Warman MP Tearoom Surgery

Matt Warman

I am pleased to bring residents who are concerned about highspeed broadband an update on this issue.

Last week, I met with Matt Warman MP, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, at a tearoom surgery in Parliament to discuss broadband blackspots in the constituency. I know that there are residents and firms who are still unable to access the best speeds.

I was told that the Government is aware of this issue and was assured by the Minister that he and his colleagues are working to get it fixed as quickly as possible. I understand that an agreement has been made with Virgin to help catch up with remaining blackspots. So this rollout should help ensure access in the future.

I will follow developments on this issue very closely.

Following a recent visit to the Colne Valley park that marks the boundary of Ruislip, Northwood and Pinner and Greater London, I was glad to have the opportunity today to press Government Ministers on additional protection for this vital  green space in the constituency.
